Honest from the start
Why is our support free?
We work in partnership with universities, and they pay us for our services. That means you never pay us anything, at any stage. It also never changes our advice: if a course isn't right for you, we'll tell you.
How we are paid and what to ask any agent →No fees, ever.
Our support is free for eligible students.
Honest advice.
We recommend what fits you, not what sells.
Your choice.
You decide, with no pressure at any point.
Questions we hear every week
Short, plain answers. Official details are always on gov.uk, and we link to them.
Am I too old?
There's no upper age limit for a Tuition Fee Loan. Many students start university in their 30s, 40s and beyond.
Will I have to pay it back straight away?
No. You only start repaying once you've finished your course and are earning above a set income threshold. Repayments are based on what you earn, not on how much you borrowed.
Will it affect my credit score?
Student loans don't appear on your credit file.
Is an education agent really free to use?
With Orienta, yes. Universities pay us for our services, so you never pay us anything, at any stage.
